Representations In My Thriller

PROPS & COSTUME:

Knife - a weapon also represents pain and anger. Symbolising the pain that will be inflicted on the victim.

Killers Mask - With his face hidden the killer becomes a monster, a soulless inhuman being. this creates more drama and tension in the thriller. Until the mask comes of the audience are held with curiosity as to who it could be?

The Phone - Represents the victim is waiting for someone.

The Cigarette - symbolises a passing of time and gives the audience a sense of the victims personality, carefree and not to conscious on her health.

SOUNDTRACK:

Instrumental Track - The beats are vibrant and mystical at times to parallel with the location of the woods. Furthermore the music builds up to a climatic point that is conventional in many thriller movies when the scene is leading up to a murder.

LOCATION:

The Woods - the woods fit my story line and also represents loneliness and isolation.

The Graveyard - Represents death and pain, therefore the scene in which the killer walks about in the grave with thoughts of killing someone adds to the atmosphere.

LIGHTING:

The lighting was natural when filmed, with a sunny weather on both my filming sessions i was able to capture my footage with great quality. However for a thriller movie i needed to create atmosphere therefore i shall edit my footage to have a darker dim lighting with a tint that will give the woods and graveyard a more eerie atmosphere.
